Fable 2

Action RPG

Story: Fable 2 is an action/adventure RPG that has many new features from the previous Fable game and other RPGs. The story starts off with you as a child and you perform some very simple tasks that just test your judgement and not really your skill. After some of those you move on to adulthood (technically being a teenager) and this is where the game gets interesting. The main goal of the game is to aquire 3 fellow heros who you dont know to join you to defeat the boss (Lucien).

Difficulty: The game features a new aiming mechanic that takes some time and practice to even basely use and if you dont have patience then it probly wont do you any good but the game has a look and auto-target system so you dont even need it exactly. I played the game and didnt encounter any more than 1 hard part that actually tested your ability in the game and looking back now on that part I could probly do it better.

Look and Feel: The game looks great and looks even better if you have an HD set up and sounds gret too. Although the main character has no lines of dialogue you can understand what is being said by other characters and AI. I only found a couple annoyances (not even problems) that I didnt like. There is a little yellow line that always goes to the goal or quest that you have selected and sometimes it didnt go the right way or it just wasnt there sometimes.

Online Co-op: The online co-op feature has yet to be used by me but I can understand how it works and it is fun to see what other peoples worlds look like because you actions in the game change the apperances of places and cities in the game. One thing is that there is a way to boost for experience points and this takes almost all of the challenge out of the game earlier on.

I give the online co-op a 4/10 because: both players must share the same camera angle, making ranged aiming a bitch, and the fact that you cant stray further than 10 yards from each other, making travel a bitch as well.

I also personally think they seriously fucked up the will (magic) system, unlike the original you have to take time to cast spells, and can not move when casting, although they eliminated the need for the will bar (mana/sp/etc.) I still find it quite pointless to use will in most cases seeing how my red dragon gun can kill a horde of enemies in a matter of seconds. tl;dr: I preferred spending money on will pots (potions) to use magic instead of taking 10 seconds to cast one spell while taking serious amounts of damage.

still a great game imo though, much more content and stuff to do than in the original, but I prefer the original for it's better combat system.

Ya I didnt play co-op yet so I didnt know that you could not move freely around the world and that sucks. I didnt really embrace the new features of the combat system and I dont use magic/mana that much im kind of a hack and slash kind of guy so I thought that combat was great.

Thanks for the feedback.

I know, I'm just saying...

and you don't really even need those, if you have the right gun (red dragon) you can do a whole playthrough without using will more than once. (because you have to use will to activate that one cullis gate...)

lol, turret weapons kinda suck, a lot, even though they do slightly more per shot in comparison to clockwork they drastically lose dps with their long reload times.
